Alkrington Primary School

A Learning Journey

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Alkrington Primary School and our website.

There are over 500 children in our school and we have 17 classes from Nursery to Year 6. Every classroom has a Teacher and Teaching Assistant; there is also additional classroom and admin support staff who all contribute to the positive ethos within the school.

Alkrington Primary School is a busy, friendly and popular school with a warm and welcoming ethos which is recognised by all who visit. The Staff, Parents and Governors of our school all work together to try to provide the best for the families we serve. We want our children to enjoy their time and education with us and to achieve the highest possible standards in all aspects of their lives.

We pride ourselves on providing a learning environment where children grow and develop in safe and supportive surroundings becoming 'Creative thinkers and lifelong learners’. All of our children are known, valued and respected as individuals who leave our school ready for the next stage in their education with life skills which prepare them for their future.

Our curriculum is exciting and innovative giving all pupils the opportunity to be successful, develop a wide range of skills including enterprise and, most importantly, enjoy their learning. We promote high standards whilst fostering creativity and imagination so encouraging children to be self-motivated learners.

As a Community School we are particularly conscious of the need to create opportunities for all our pupils to grow up in a community and a society where we can all live and work successfully together.

I hope that you will enjoy browsing our web pages and find the information contained in them informative and useful. Please do contact us if you have any queries.

Best Wishes,
