Our Nursery

We are based within Alkrington Primary School and cater for children from the term they turn 3, to 4 years old. We have a maximum of 43 children in our sessions with up to 6 members of staff.

We have a friendly and nurturing atmosphere in a stimulating environment where all children are safe and valued. We encourage our children to be independent learners who have access to exciting indoor and outdoor classrooms, each covering all areas of learning.

We also have daily access to a challenging outdoor area with a large sand play area, climbing and balancing play equipment, a planting and grass area and a water pump with guttering and water troughs.

We have strong links with the Reception class, coming together for sessions at various times throughout the year. During our 4 year olds' final term, we arrange regular 'taster sessions' for those children moving up to our Primary's reception class.
