Lead Teacher: Mrs A Taylor

I am an experienced and passionate Science Subject Leader with over 11 years of leadership in primary education. I hold a degree in Biology and began my teaching career in secondary education, where I taught KS3 and KS4 Science. This foundation has provided me with a strong subject knowledge base and a clear understanding of progression across key stages.

Since transitioning to primary education, I have been committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking and a love of science in young learners. As Science Lead, I have driven curriculum development, supported staff in delivering high-quality science teaching, and promoted hands-on, enquiry-based learning across the school.

I am dedicated to ensuring that science is engaging, inclusive and accessible for all pupils, while maintaining high standards of achievement. My leadership focuses on developing staff confidence, embedding effective assessment practices and creating a whole-school culture that values scientific exploration and discovery.
